MAKERCAMP DAY 5 – MINI-FOOSBALL TABLES
Another week began here at the Anchorage Makerspace Makercamp. Today the kids worked on a couple of different projects.
First they experimented with Balloons running on various string trajectories. They altered where a balloon was attached and which angle seemed to work the best. It turns out that putting the tape too far forward on the balloon will cause it to stop short of your goal. The angle was less important.
The main project today was the building of Miniature Foosball Tables. They did this by taking a shoe box (or similar size box) and creating some straw bars to hang the players from. The straws were attached to the box using paperclips. Then they made players from card stock or cardboard. The players were attached to the straws. Many of the kids created a hole on each end to act as a goal. All-in-all a fun and easy project!
